2019 Polls: Ondo APC Attacks Atiku Over Rigging Claims

APC

The Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday attacked the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party( PDP) over his claims that the APC was planning to rig the 2019 elections.

Business day reports that Atiku in Akure , the Ondo state capital on Monday during his presidential campaign had alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party are not talking to Nigerians rather planning to steal votes across the country.

However, the Publicity secretary of the party in Ondo state, Alex Kalejaye in a statement said the PDP candidate was confused and afraid of imminent defeat.

The statement read : ” Political observers and generality of Nigerians are well aware that President Muhammadu Buhari did flag-off his campaigns in Akwa-Ibom State; and later pulled an unprecedented crowd when he stormed Bauchi. He is being expected in Delta State, in continuation of his structured campaigns.

” For benefit of doubt, the APC Presidential Campaign Council has roll- out itineraries of how the party’s campaigns at various states will hold.

“It is imperative to remind them that the APC is not an appendage of any political party; it is a well-organised party with coherent plans and programmes to guide its activities.

“The APC has a well-thought out itinerary for its campaigns, and will follow duly the time-table, irrespective of what any sinking party feels or says.

” The party appeals to Nigerians to take stock of projects so far embarked upon by this administration, that are aimed at ameliorating and neutralizing the woes imposed on this country by the PDP and its collaborators for 16years.

“The APC desires to see a Nigeria where the citizens are well secured; where surplus of food would pave the way for export; where stability on the political and economic scene, coupled with an improved ease of doing business, will naturally pull investors in their numbers. A country of next level of prosperity for all.”
