The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William F. Kumuyi, has urged Nigerians to tolerate one another for peaceful co-existence. Speaking to journalists in Enugu on his arrival for a 3-day crusade in the South East, Kumuyi maintained that ‘If we can turn away from self-concentration and think about the welfare of others, the country will be a better place to live.
A situation where we think only about what we want and how we will be fulfilled without thinking about other people does not solve any problem. We should ask what we can contribute in this single life to create harmony in the society; the challenges facing the country will be resolved. That is my message to Nigerians.”
Pastor Kumuyi was on his way to Ebonyi State for a 3-day crusade that will also see him in Anambra and Enugu states in separate crusades titled ‘Connection With God of Power in Times Like This’ His trip to the South East geopolitical zone would be rounded off next week with visit to Abia and Imo states.
During his ministrations, Kumuyi will also pray for quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari from his present ailment, the unity of the church, South East zone and that of the country in general. He will also use the event to seek the face of God on security and other challenges besetting Nigeria.
“We chose the theme of the crusade because we believe that God has the power to solve all problems but the missing link is the connection with him personally. We have problems in the country but we have to look at those issues objectively in order to proffer solution,” the cleric said.
