Apparently disturbed by the rate at which the members of Boko Haram sect unleash terror on Nigerians’ lives and property, the Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Board (PAGADEB) has tasked the operators of private motor parks in the state on the provision of adequate security at their parks to help prevent attacks by any form of security breach.

Ola-Ayo Ogunsolu, general manager, Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Board (PAGADEB), who had a security meeting with operators of private motor parks in the state, declared that the “provision of adequate security measures in the parks would help to allay fear of motorists in the face of current waves of insurgent attacks in the country.”

While underscoring the importance of communication in any human interaction, the General Manager called on the operators to maintain constant working relationship with the agency and other security agencies  in the state that are saddled with the responsibility of regulating activities of motor parks in the state and security measures.

The PAGADEB boss, however assured that Governor Ibikunle Amosun-led administration would continue to provide enabling environment and atmosphere that would encourage private sector participation, which would in return, aid the growth of the transport sector, affirming government’s readiness to partner with more genuine investors to develop more parks in the state.

Responding, Kamoru Tayo Oni, an operator of Kame Ventures, a private trailer park located in Sagamu, who spoke on behalf of other operators, commended the effort of the present administration in taking various security measures to forestall any security breach in the state.

Oni however, appreciated the opportunity afforded the operators to have their first ever meeting with the authority of the government, airing their views and agitations as it affects their operations, while expressing optimism of their cooperation with the government for prosperity.
