Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, is set to host the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Section on Legal Practice on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, as part of efforts to deepen legal education and strengthen expertise in emerging areas of technology law.

The event, themed “Technology Law 101: Introduction to Telecommunications & Technology Practice,” will bring together legal practitioners, regulators, technology experts, and industry stakeholders to examine the evolving relationship between law, telecommunications, and emerging technologies.

The programme will take place at the Law Corridor Multipurpose Studio, located within the Law Corridor Office Complex, Plot 638, Marberries Street, Katampe, Abuja.

The forum is expected to feature discussions from leading professionals across the telecommunications and legal sectors, including representatives of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), telecom operators, and stakeholders across the technology value chain. Discussions will focus on regulatory developments, innovation, data protection, privacy, artificial intelligence, and ethical considerations shaping technology practice in Nigeria.

Henry Eni-Otu, Managing Partner at Law Corridor, said the firm was pleased to host the NBA Section on Legal Practice under the leadership of Mrs Folashade Alli (SAN), Chairperson of the Section, and Fernandez Marcus-Obiene, Chair of the Section’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Committee.

Eni-Otu noted that the growing adoption of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, has created new legal challenges requiring deeper understanding among practitioners.

“Law Corridor is excited to host the NBA Section on Legal Practice under the distinguished chairmanship of Mrs Folashade Alli (SAN) and Fernandez Marcus-Obiene, the Section’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Committee,” he said.

“The theme of the event, ‘Technology Law 101: Introduction to Telecommunications & Technology Practice,’ is particularly relevant, especially regarding the infusion of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence into telecommunications, privacy, data, and ethical issues.”

He added that discussions from the event would provide useful insights for addressing complex socio-economic and national challenges arising from the adoption of new technologies.

The event forms part of Law Corridor’s broader commitment to promoting continuous professional development and sector-specific knowledge within Nigeria’s legal profession.

The firm has increasingly positioned itself as a platform for thought leadership through policy dialogues and professional engagements. In April 2026, Law Corridor hosted the second edition of its Policy Dialogue, which featured the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) among other prominent speakers.

The firm’s previous policy engagement also focused on key national issues, including the real estate sector, where the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, chaired its policy dialogue held in 2025.

Through these initiatives, Law Corridor continues to create platforms for stakeholders to discuss policy, regulatory, and legal reforms affecting Nigeria’s business and socio-economic landscape.
