Zenith Bank Plc has appointed Kennedy Okwudili as an executive director, in a move aimed at strengthening its senior management team and sustaining its internal leadership pipeline.

The appointment, which takes effect from May 1, 2026, was disclosed in a corporate filing to the Nigerian Exchange, underscoring the bank’s continued focus on succession planning and institutional stability.

The lender said the decision aligns with its long-standing strategy of grooming talent from within, a model that has supported its leadership continuity over the years.

Okwudili brings over 25 years of banking experience spanning credit, marketing, treasury, compliance and operations, positioning him to contribute to the bank’s strategic and operational direction.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Maiduguri, an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Veritas University, Abuja.

He is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, as well as an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
