The discussion focused on improving and optimising NAFDAC’s capacity as a National Regulatory Authority in support of the NHSRII while aligning and leveraging the mandate of the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC).

The scanners are expected to play a crucial role in strengthening NAFDAC’s ability to track and trace pharmaceutical products throughout the supply chain.

This initiative aims to improve the detection and removal of counterfeit drugs from the market, ultimately safeguarding public health.

The WHO reiterated its dedication to supporting Nigeria’s efforts in tackling the issue of substandard and falsified medical products.

This donation underscores the organization’s commitment to collaborative work with NAFDAC to ensure the availability of safe and effective medicines for all Nigerians.
