Eyitayo Oyinlola, Major General and General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, says that the Nigerian Army has deployed both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies to restore normalcy in the affected communities of Mansur, Futuk, Gigare and Gwana in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Oyinlola said this during their visitation to Bauchi State, adding that intelligence-driven operations are ongoing to dismantle criminal hideouts and disrupt the movement of armed groups within the region.
He noted that the troops had intensified clearance operations, strengthened surveillance across identified flashpoints, and reinforced collaboration with other security agencies to prevent further incursions.
The major general added that additional operational logistics and manpower had been mobilised to ensure sustained security presence in Alkaleri and its surrounded communities.
Responding, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State expressed his appreciation to the Federal Government and the Nigeria Army for quick intervention to the insecurity situation of the State.
The governor commended the Chief of Army Staff, the GOC, and the entire military leadership for their robust response, expressing satisfaction with the ongoing operations.
Governor Mohammed pledged the readiness of the State Government to partner with the Military through both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches, including community engagement and sociological interventions, to address the root causes of insecurity.
The governor reaffirmed the commitment of the State, Local Governments, and the affected communities to support security agencies in restoring peace in Alkaleri Local Government and the entire State.
