Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos, returned to the state for the first time after emerging as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate during the primaries held on June 6, 2022, in Abuja.
Tinubu touched down in Lagos in the company with key APC leaders.
In a viral video showing Tinubu’s arrival, a motorcade of Lexus jeeps, Hilux, 16-seater buses, coastal buses, etc believed to be Tinubu’s convoy, speeding along the Oshodi expressway, with sirens blaring loudly and some passengers waving brooms.
A disembodied voice was heard lamenting as the cars sped by.

“They blocked us for three hours because of a man who is not yet the president.” the voice said. “Look at the way he is moving as if the president is coming; meanwhile, he is not yet the president”.
“The road was blocked for three hours waiting for the so-called Mr. Tinubu.” Look at his convoy, even the richest man in the world does not have the kind of convoy that I’m seeing here today, all brand new cars. ”
