Two notorious terrorist leaders surrender to troops in Katsina State

Two notorious terrorist leaders, Abu Radde and Umar Black, operating in Batsari and Safana Local Government Areas of Katsina State, have surrendered to troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations,

According to the statement, the surrender followed relentless, synchronized offensive operations by ground troops and the air component of the Nigerian military, which dislodged several terrorist strongholds and inflicted heavy casualties.

During the operations, troops recovered weapons, and ammunition, and successfully secured the release of 15 hostages who had been held captive by the terrorists.

The military said it is maintaining its momentum in the fight against terrorism, with efforts ongoing to track down other notorious terrorist leaders, including Bello Turji.

The military warned that terrorists must either surrender or face destruction on the battlefield. “Troops will continue to eliminate threats posed by terrorists and deny them the ability to carry out acts of terror against citizens,” the statement added.
