In a joint operation, the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, along with operatives from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and local vigilantes, carried out a successful raid on a terrorist camp in Kabbi State during the early hours of Tuesday.

Yahya Ibrahim, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations 1 Brigade Gusau, confirmed the operation’s success, revealing that the targeted terrorists’ hideout was identified in Sabon Gari village, located in the Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

“Troops neutralized one terrorist, rescued four kidnapped individuals, and recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition during the operation.”

“The retrieved items included three AK-47 rifles, three magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and two pairs of camouflage uniforms.

“All four rescued victims have been safely reunited with their families. The military continues its pursuit of the wounded and fleeing terrorists, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to securing the region”, Ibrahim stated.

The Nigerian Army has also made a commitment to elevate the well-being of its personnel and provide them with improved weaponry.

This underscores the military’s steadfast dedication to upholding the safety and security of the nation.
