Toyin Bakare Is A Spotlight African Woman Making A Difference!

Spotlight African Network at the Women Making A difference Community Service Leadership Award 2020 in Lagos recognized Mrs Toyin Bakare as a Spotlight African woman making a difference for her excellence in leadership and community service.

Oluwatoyin Bakare is a seasoned entrepreneur, A Certified Fellow Chartered Accountant and an Alumnus of several renowned business schools. She also sits on the Board of several companies and foundations. She is the COO and executive director of SAS Textiles Ltd, a second-generation family business that is Nigeria’s home of Exquisite world-class fabrics and textiles.

As Executive Director Finance of SAS Textiles, she had oversight of the growth of the business from a one-room shop to one of Nigeria’s leading textile retail-store chains.

She has steered SAS Textiles from one-room shop to a leading brand in the textile space in Nigeria. She sponsored all our awards and donated hundreds of rich fabrics to Lagos State Female sweepers. To say the least, Toyin Bakare is an inspirational woman!’

As COO SAS Textiles, she oversees the day to day running of a successful indigenous trading concern raised on the values of integrity and excellent customer service.

A graduate of accounting, a Fellow of (ICAN), she is an alumnus of Fate Foundation’s Emerging Entrepreneur’s Programme (EEP), LEAP Africa’s Business Leadership’s Program, Lagos Business School’s OMP and Recently graduated from CEIBS and recently did a Business Leadership Program at Harvard.

She sits on the board of Genesis House – an arm of Freedom Foundation that shelters and rehabilitates disadvantaged women and an associate member of the Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ). She is also a wife, mother, public speaker and pastor who uses her story to empower others.
