The book Varsity Guard was launched virtually on Sunday the 4th October, 2020 at about 4Pm WAT, having several attendees and dignitaries from the country and in diaspora present.
The book was authored by Mr Shadrack Akinola alias Pesinpapa and was written to guide students from making costly errors especially with regards to choosing a career and excelling in the university and after.
The author had an extra year despite putting in a lot academically in the university which birthed the idea of the book Varsity Guard. The book is an experiential guide and a product of over 7 years of continuous research just to make the book as rich and as well applicable in modern day times as possible.

Some of the benefits of the book are; sensitizing students about choosing a career, the ripple effects they never consider which happens after school, imploring a 360 degree’ approach to living well and productively on campus, effects of drug abuse to mention a few.
