Tetracore Energy Group has secured Integrated Management System (IMS) certification across multiple operational sites in Nigeria, marking a key step in its effort to standardise quality, environmental, and safety practices across its business.
The certification covers three international standards: ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety. It was issued by Bureau Veritas and accredited by UKAS.
For Tetracore, the recognition goes beyond compliance. It signals a structured approach to managing operations across the gas and power value chain at a time when Nigeria’s energy sector is under pressure to improve efficiency, safety, and long-term sustainability.
The certification applies to the company’s upstream gas processing, midstream distribution infrastructure, and downstream power generation activities. These areas form the backbone of Tetracore’s work in expanding access to gas-based energy solutions for industries, businesses, and communities.
The audit process involved a detailed review of management systems, operational controls, and risk management procedures. According to the company, all identified nonconformities were addressed before final approval was granted.
In practical terms, the certification provides assurance that Tetracore’s systems align with international benchmarks. For investors, regulators, and business partners, it strengthens confidence in the company’s ability to deliver projects under recognised standards.
This development comes as Tetracore continues to expand infrastructure across Nigeria, including compressed natural gas mother stations, auto-CNG retail facilities, and independent power projects. As demand for cleaner and more reliable energy sources rises, management systems that can scale with growth are becoming increasingly important.
Speaking on the achievement, Adeyemi Adekoya, Manager, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment, said: “This milestone reflects the robustness of our management systems, the discipline embedded in our operations, and the unwavering commitment of our people to excellence. Achieving IMS certification reinforces our dedication to delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions while maintaining the highest standards across all our operations.”
Industry observers note that certifications of this nature can also improve regulatory alignment and strengthen environmental, social, and governance commitments. For companies operating in critical sectors such as energy, these frameworks often shape how organisations manage risk, workforce safety, and environmental impact.
For Tetracore, the certification arrives at a point when Nigeria’s transition towards gas-led industrial growth is gaining momentum. With recognised standards now embedded across its operations, the company is positioning itself to play a larger role in the country’s changing energy landscape.
