Jerry Adams, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna State Internal Revenue Services (KADIRS), has disclosed that taxation is not a burden but a partnership between the government and the entrepreneurs.

The Executive Chairman made this known at the Young Entrepreneurs Summit, Kaduna 2025, with the theme: Mafari, the starting point at Laura Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Monday.

Jerry Adams who was represented by the head Cooperate Communications, Kaduna Internal Revenue services (KADIRS), Jamilu Muhammad Zakari, assured entrepreneurs that their Service recognizes the critical role of entrepreneurs in driving economic growth and expanding the tax base for sustainable development explaining that the vision is not to see taxation as a burden but as a partnership, where the government creates an enabling environment and entrepreneurs, in turn, contribute their quota to building the Kaduna and Nigeria they all desire.

The Tax Boss, who noted with pride that Kaduna has continued to position itself as a hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth-driven enterprise, stated that the summit was more than a meeting, but a declaration that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the builders of today. ” Every idea shared here, every partnership formed, and every challenge discussed has the potential to shape the future of our state and our nation ”. He added.

Adams emphasised that the program is in clear alignment with the policies, programs, and youth initiatives of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani (CON), who has consistently championed youth empowerment, enterprise development, and inclusive growth.

He encouraged young entrepreneurs present to remain resilient, stating that the path of entrepreneurship is never smooth, but innovation, courage, and integrity will always stand them out. Seek opportunities not only for profit but for impact because businesses that transform lives are the ones that endure, he emphasised.

He salutes the organisers for choosing the theme of empowerment and innovation, saying, It aligns perfectly with the ongoing reforms in Kaduna State aimed at fostering enterprise, reducing youth unemployment, and opening up opportunities for small and medium-scale businesses to thrive.
