Uzomba Ekwuribe, president-general of Okaiuga Nkwoegwu, Improvement Union, Ohuhu, Umuahia North Local Government Area, has advised Alex Otti, Abia State governor to be conscious of the negative tendencies of sycophants and concentrate on his avowed determination of good governance for the good of Abians.
He equally advised Governor Otti’’s aides to pay attention to achieving results instead of dwelling on baseless rumours, adding that “action speaks louder than word.”
The Abia community leader gave the advice in Umuahia shortly after Governor Otti’s Thanksgiving Service held at Event Centre, Okpara Square.

Ekwuribe, who was one-time Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia Council, also urged the Governor’s Kitchen Cabinet to consider implementing the template of Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
“The governor has started very well through a number of positive steps like engagement of Julius Berger to construct durable and quality roads in the state, aggressive evacuation of refuse and promise to revamp the civil service, but it may be too early to award marks till his hundred days in office,” Ekwuribe said.
