Seven persons have been brutally killed following an attack by armed men at Ratatis community in Dorowa Babuje, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The late evening assault has once again heightened tension in the troubled locality, leaving residents in shock and grief.

The attack reportedly occurred at about 7:27 p.m. on Sunday, with three other persons sustaining serious injuries. The wounded victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention, while details surrounding the circumstances of the incident remained sketchy as of press time.

Confirming the incident in a statement on Sunday evening and obtain by BusinessDay, Rwang Tenwong, the National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders-Association (BYM) said, “Seven persons have been brutally killed following an attack by armed terrorists at Ratatis, Dorowa Babuje in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, this evening. The attack occurred at about 7:27pm”.

He added, “The attack left three others seriously injured. The victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. Details of the incident remain sketchy”.

The youth group expressed deep concern over the recurring violence and called for swift intervention by security agencies to forestall further bloodshed.
