The Senate on Wednesday confirmed seven for appointments as Chairman, Executive Vice Chairman and Commissioners for Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
This followed the presentation of the report of screening by the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Trade and Investment, Senator Francis Fadahunsi.
They are Emeka Nwakpa, South East, (Chairman), Babatunde Irukera, North Central (Executive Vice Chairman), Ben Nwoye, South East (NonExecutive Commissioner).
Others are Adamu Abdullahi, North East (Executive Commissioner), AVM Wakili Ahmed, North West (NonExecutive Commissioner), Ayang Eyam, South-South (NonExecutive Commissioner), ) and Theophilus Oyebiyi, North Central (Non-executive Commissioner).
The Senate, however, stood down the confirmation of the nomination of Mrs Yinka Apata as Executive Commissioner representing South West.
