Residents hail Akeredolu over construction of roads

Amotekun: Only home-grown approach can tackle insecurity – Akeredolu

Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu

Residents of Ire-Akari 1/Johnbosco area of Orita-Obele Estate in Akure South local government area of Ondo State have commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for constructing roads within the area.

Some residents of the areas, who spoke with BusinessDay on Wednesday in Akure, described the road projects as timely, appropriate, and a welcome development, which they said, was capable of boosting their livelihoods.

While commending the administration of Governor Akeredolu for coming to their aid at this critical period, Femi Mabayoje, a resident of Ire-Akari 1, therefore, said the construction of the road would go a long way in reducing the menace of erosion around the area.

According to him, the roads have been in deplorable condition for long.

“In spite of these very important landmarks, residents of these areas have been facing challenges of deplorable roads and gully erosion, but it is only during Akeredolu’s government that we now see positive improvements.

Akinmurele, however, appealed to Akeredolu to step up action towards the completion of other roads project in the state.

The residents also expressed satisfaction with the quality and standard of the roads, describing it as unprecedented in the history of the community.
