PSC pppoints Olohundare Jimoh as Lagos State Police Commissioner

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command. The announcement was made on Monday, in a statement signed by the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani.

Before this appointment, Jimoh served as the Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority, and Eastern Ports. A native of Kwara State, he has held several key positions within the Nigeria Police Force, including Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Airport Police, Finance and Administration, and General Investigation.

Jimoh brings experience and professional training including Combat Operations Course at the Mobile Training College, Maiduguri, Peacekeeping Training with the African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan and Weapons of Mass Destruction Countermeasure Training in the United States.

Others are Social Construction and Management Reform Training at the China Executive Leadership Academy, Pudong, China, Maritime Rescue and Salvage Training at the China Maritime Academy, Ningbo, China, Anti-Hijacking Techniques and Tactics Training at Yunnan Police College, Kunming, China and Police Training at the Police Training Institute in Seoul, South Korea

Jimoh also served as public relations within the police force and has bagged the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year from the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.

His appointment followed his screening before Hashimu Argungu, PSC Chairman,  Adamu Paul Galmuje (Justice) and  Taiwo Lakanu (DIG, Rtd), the Commissioner representing the Police.
