PressOne Africa unveils developer program to empower African tech scene

PressOne Africa raises $600,000 to support entrepreneurs

PressOne Africa, a provider of cloud-based phone systems for small businesses, has revealed its sponsorship of Lagos Startup Week (LSW) 2024.

In a statement, the company said the annual event, taking place from July 8th to 13th, 2024, will support entrepreneurship across the continent.

Mayowa Okegbenle, CEO of PressOne Africa said, “We are thrilled to be a part of Lagos Startup Week 2024,” said Okegbenle. “Our mission is to make world-class communication tools accessible to businesses of all sizes, and we believe that Lagos Startup Week is the perfect platform to connect with and support the next generation of African entrepreneurs.”

As part of its sponsorship, PressOne Africa will introduce several initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of small businesses and developers, the statement said.

“This program will unveil new APIs and SDKs, empowering developers to embed phone communication capabilities directly into their products. Among the innovative tools available are Call SDKs and Voice OTPs.”

The statement further disclosed that attendees of Lagos Startup Week will also have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of upgrading from traditional phone systems to PressOne Africa’s platform. The company’s affordable and feature-rich communication solutions are designed to drive growth for small businesses, offering a significant upgrade from conventional systems.

In addition to showcasing its products, PressOne Africa will contribute to the event’s thought leadership on entrepreneurship.

It said, “Okegbenle, a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep understanding of the African tech landscape, will share valuable insights during panel discussions. His expertise is expected to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the tech industry.”
