The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has reiterated its commitment to collaborating closely with the Nigeria Police Force to uphold peace and security in Plateau State.

Addressing the issue of misuse of PCRC identification, Ashoms highlighted the importance of verification. He said “Because of the robust relationship we have with the Nigerian police, people use our paraphernalia to circumvent security checks. We have agreed that all our accoutrements must be verified and issued by the police via the office of the PPRO This measure is aimed at ensuring that the PCRC’s resources are used appropriately and do not compromise security”.

The Chairman stressed the importance of integrity and collaboration with the Police. “We will continue to cooperate, synergize, and support the Nigerian Police Force. We are going to work in tandem. Very soon, our membership drive will expand as many people have expressed interest in joining us”, he affirmed.

Responding, Adesina, the Commissioner of Police, praised the essential role of the PCRC in the operations of the Nigeria Police Force at all levels.

“The PCRC has been an integral part of the Nigerian Police Force at federal, state, and local government levels. It is a structure we depend on to serve our people better,” he said.
