According to the statement, the arrests followed intelligence-led operations carried out by the Rapid Response Squad between January 5 and 8, targeting suspected criminal hideouts across the state.

The statement said recovered items included cutlasses, knives, wraps of Indian hemp and other hard drugs, tablets of tramadol and Exol, shisha equipment, and other dangerous substances.

The commissioner of police said the suspects are under investigation and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.

Abdulmajid assured residents of sustained efforts to curb crime and urged the public to provide timely information to support security operations.
