The Plateau State Government has announced the relaxation of the 48-hour curfew imposed on Jos North Local Government Area following the recent violent attack on residents of Angwan Rukuba, citing improved security and relative calm in the area.

The decision is aimed at allowing residents to gradually resume normal activities under monitored conditions.

In a statement signed by Joyce Ramnap, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, the government said the adjustment takes effect from April 1, 2026, as part of efforts to balance security with socio-economic needs.
