PharmAccess Nigeria has appointed three new members to its Advisory Board to strengthen healthcare innovation and expand access to quality services.
They include Wiebe Boer, chief growth officer at JIPA Network; Ebere Okereke, chief program officer, Reaching the Last Mile; and Olufemi Sunmonu, program director for EQUIP and co-founder of PurpleSource Healthcare.
The board, comprising leading experts in healthcare policy, digital transformation, and investment, will support the organisation’s mission of bridging healthcare equity gaps across Nigeria.
Njide Ndili, country director of PharmAccess, stated that the creation of the advisory board marks a critical milestone in its efforts to scale transformative healthcare models across Nigeria.
“With their extensive expertise, we are poised to advance our initiatives in digital health, quality healthcare initiatives, value-based care models, and sustainable healthcare financing. Their guidance will be instrumental in strengthening our impact and accelerating the progress toward bridging healthcare equity gaps in the country,” she said in an official statement on Thursday.
PharmAccess has been at the forefront of health system transformation for over a decade, implementing initiatives such as the Kwara Health Insurance Scheme, the SafeCare quality improvement methodology, and mobile tuberculosis screening applications.
With the increasing adoption of digital and mobile technology, the board is poised to play a critical role in advancing sustainable healthcare innovation and strategic partnerships.
The board will also provide strategic advice on market intelligence, and sustainable financing mechanisms, ensuring that PharmAccess stays at the forefront of digital health innovation and healthcare investments.
PharmAccess Nigeria is part of the PharmAccess Group, a pan-African organization funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Boer
Wiebe Boer is a seasoned social entrepreneur and business leader with an impressive track record in philanthropy, sustainable development, and impact investment.
He currently serves as the chief growth officer at JIPA Network, a fast-growing healthcare company operating in South Florida and the Caribbean.
He has held leadership roles at notable organizations, including the Rockefeller Foundation, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, and Shell’s All On investment fund.
His experience in driving social impact initiatives and sustainable development is expected to help PharmAccess drive its mission.
Okereke
Ebere Okereke is a distinguished global health expert and public health physician with over 30 years of experience in infectious disease control, pandemic preparedness, and health policy development.
Okereke currently serves as the chief program officer at Reaching the Last Mile, the philanthropic foundation of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, President of the UAE.
She has previously held important positions at Public Health England, the Africa CDC, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, amongst others.
Her expertise in shaping health policy and driving public health initiatives across the continent is expected to contribute to PharmAccess’ efforts to enhance health system resilience and improve access to healthcare.
Sunmonu
Olufemi Sunmonu is a healthcare strategist with a focus on digital transformation and quality improvement.
He serves as the program director for EQUIP in Northeast London, where he leads data-driven healthcare enhancements that impact over 2 million people.
Sunmonu is also the co-founder of PurpleSource Healthcare in Nigeria, a network of tech-enabled primary care clinics aimed at improving healthcare delivery.
His innovative work in digital healthcare solutions and his deep understanding of primary care will provide invaluable insights to PharmAccess as it continues to expand its impact in Nigeria.
