Penzaarville plays ‘Santa’ to Lagos residents

Penzaarville plays ‘Santa’ to Lagos residents

In the spirit of Christmas, fast-rising media agency, Penzaarville Africa, recently played ‘Santa’ to residents in Surulere area of Lagos State.

The exercise, which took place on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, had staff of the agency hit the streets bearing hampers, gift items and handing them over to passers-by and individuals who otherwise may not have received Christmas gifts.

The initiative is in line with one of the company’s values of giving back to the society. It had over 20 people, including 68-year-old Agnes Makanjuola, who was quite emotional about the gesture. According to her, her family of six had for weeks wondered how Christmas would turn out due to their financial state.

“The last few weeks have been very challenging for my family. There is not so much to look forward to because of the state of the economy. I am very grateful to Penzaarville Africa for this gift. It will go a long way in helping us enjoy this Christmas and feel like a part of the celebration,” Makanjuola said.

The company’s CEO, Olufemi Oguntamu, while speaking about the initiative explained that it’s one of the company’s ambitions to make not only staff and clients happy but also members of its society, hence the decision to organise a ‘Secret Santa’ and gift residents with food items and other essentials.

“For us at Penzaarville Africa, it is about adding value to individuals and communities and we make sure to live by this vision every day,” Oguntamu said.

“2020 no doubt has been quite challenging for a lot of people, we are not oblivious of that, which is why we thought to add value to people in our community even as we create the same for clients and staff. The feedback has been heart-warming and we are very ready to do more,” he said.

In its five years of operations, the agency has managed to maintain a decent reputation, catering to the digital marketing, public relations, strategy and media management needs of its rich clientele including multinational brands like Bolt, Nokia, YouTube as well as indigenous ones like Wema Bank, Ecobank, Van Daniels Properties, and a few others.
