The main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently hosting a dinner in Abuja in honour of National Assembly members who recently defected from the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) to its fold.
The event which is holding at Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, has both serving and former members of the National Assembly.

Recall that over 50 APC lawmakers last week defected to PDP.
PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, is leading the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to host the defectors.
In his remarks, Secondus described the defectors as ‘heroes of democracy’, assuring that the party has been repositioned and impunity would not be condoned.
However, Senate President Bukola Saraki who dumped APC to PDP was absent at the event.
