PDP governors’ forum celebrates Makinde @56

…as Oyo NUJ, ex-Reps member say Makinde exemplary, visionary

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) on Monday celebrated Gov. Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo State on his 56th birthday.

The forum Chairman, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, celebrated Makinde in a statement issued by the forum Director-General, Cyril Maduabum, in Abuja on Monday.

Mohammed said that the forum celebrated Makinde’s sterling performance in office as Governor of Oyo State in over four years.

This, according to him, was evident in life impacting projects in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare service delivery, power generation, SME funding, security and safety – a wholesome transformation strategy for generational change.

“This progress is also being felt in the reorganised solid mineral sector, aviation sector upgrade, improved civil service welfare, transportation, culture and tourism, road networking and urban renewal, trade and investment drive, youth and women empowerment, among others.

“We are proud to say that the state’s economy has recorded a remarkable leap.

“The forum acknowledges his numerous contributions to the growth of our Forum and his nationalistic approach to governance,’’ Mohammed said.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council and Shina Peller, former federal lawmaker and Ayedero of Yorubaland described the Governor Seyi Makinde as a visionary, exemplary, youth-oriented and result-driven leader.

Peller stated this in his goodwill message to the governor on his 56th brithday, where he described Makinde’s leadership attributes as exemplary and noteworthy, highlighted some of the developmental projects of Governor Makinde, reaffirming his alignment and association with the governor as his leader.

In a statement posted on his social media page on Monday, Ayedero of Yorubaland highlighted some of the commedable leadership attributes of the governor, which he said include Makinde’s strict adherence to the principles of equity, fairness and justice.

But, in a statement jointly signed by Ademola Babalola and Sola Oladapo, Chairman and Secretary, respectively, Oyo NUJ prayed for more decades for the governor in good health, sound mind and abundant wealth to serve humanity.

The Union described the ongoing infrastructural transformation across the length and breadth of the State under Seyi Makinde administration as unprecedented and highly commendable.
