…Political and business leaders pay respects to 92-year-old former banking executive
The family of Pa Oluwole Senbanjo has announced funeral arrangements for the respected elder statesman who passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the age of 92.
A steady stream of prominent Nigerians has been visiting the Senbanjo family home to offer condolences, including Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, and business tycoon Femi Otedola.
The late Pa Senbanjo was the father of OmoOba Segun Senbanjo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain in Ogun State and the Regional Director of Seymour Energy Consulting.

Born on July 20, 1932, Pa Senbanjo began his distinguished career in the early 1960s at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He later served as an Accountant with the Federal Mortgage Bank and ITT Telecommunications throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
The deceased is survived by eight children, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
According to family sources, the burial service will take place on Thursday, May 1st, at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.
