Government at all levels have been charged to continue to come up with youth-friendly measures and policies for the youths to channel their energy to the right path and be positively engaged as part of part measures to create more job opportunities in the country.
Abdulganiyi Akorede Zakaryyah, the Chief Executive Officer, Akorecome Global Nigeria Limited stated this on Friday at a press conference held in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, which was based on ‘Taming the Menace of Cybercrime in Nigeria’ – A case study of CHY mall e-commerce business.
According to him, the public lecture is aimed at educating youths on the revolutionary path towards a legal and legitimate business via the internet which would go a long way in making Nigerians self-reliant.
He said, “The tremendous improvement in Information Communication Technology (ICT), has opened various opportunities and contributed to economic growth for countries. ICT has greatly enhanced human capacity including multinational companies to do their businesses at the comfort of their homes.”
Zakaryyah observed, “government alone can not solve that problem of unemployment in Nigeria but when the partner with entrepreneurs, the sky is the limit for the youths”.
He lamented that while many people are operating the system legitimately to improve their skills, businesses and financial status, some misguided youths have devised various means of defrauding people online
Zakaryyah, who noted that the negative trend of online business activities leading to Cybercrime, needed to be proactively addressed, saying “Akorecome Global Nigeria Limited is ready to partner with both Government and Non- Governmental Organizations (NGO), to empower youths with our CHYMALL Business, curtail the menace of Cybercrime and ensure legal earning.”
