The Palace of Olubadan of Ibadanland is partnering the University of California, Los Angeles, Sadiat Toyin Lawal Foundation and Tabernacle Worship and Prayer Ministry California on health care delivery to residents of the ancient city.

To make the healthcare outreach successful, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland met Toyin Lawal, the President, a medical doctor and other team members representing the three NGOs on the health delivery from California.

In the press release issued and signed by Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland said “to show the determination and readiness of His Imperial Majesty on health related matters, the monarch facilitated the meeting between the health team from California with the head and the team of Oyo State Primary Health Care Board headed by the Executive Secretary, Muideen Olatunji, a medical doctor and his team to ensure the collaboration is a huge success.”

Speaking during the visit to the Palace, the monarch posited that “the health of the people of Ibadanland is of paramount importance to me,I will leave no stone unturned to ensure the provision and promotion of the healthy living of residents of Ibadanland for health is wealth”.

Earlier in her speech, Toyin Lawal, the Leader of the outreach, disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to seek collaboration with Kabiyesi on Community Health Partnership and Community Outreach for Primary Health Care Centres, Tertiary hospitals and Local Governments

Lawal further revealed that they are to make donations of medical equipment and resources meant for the quality healthcare delivery.

She said a proposal on health advocacy had been submitted to the Palace on health education and sensitisation.
