An old list issued by the Nigerian Students Loan Board more than 40 years ago revealed the particulars of student defaulters who gave false addresses and non-existent guarantors when they were obtaining loans.
“The board thereby appeals to members of the public in general and in appropriate cases where Nigerians have already been employed to employers of labour in particular, to contact the secretary with the necessary information of their whereabouts of these defaulters,” it said.

It said the particulars of the list had been updated consisting of defaulters up to March 31, 1980.
The list comes after President Bola Tinubu on Monday signed a bill aimed at providing interest-free loans to students.
The bill will enable indigent students to access federal government loans to fund their educational pursuits or career.
