Following the recent tragic air strike in Tudun Biri village in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called for urgent action from the Federal Government.

Visiting victims at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Obi expressed profound concern over the incident, highlighting a disturbing pattern of accidental military bombings.

“This is the 16th accidental military bombing in recent times, claiming over 500 lives,” Obi lamented, emphasizing the need to break this cycle.

He urged the government to provide adequate funding to the military and other security agencies, equipping them with the resources and training necessary to prevent future tragedies.

Obi advocated for a thorough investigation into the Tudun Biri airstrike, holding those responsible accountable for their actions.

He also stressed the need for a dedicated support system for the victims, particularly the orphaned children.

“We must ensure they receive the necessary care and support to overcome this unimaginable tragedy,” Obi stated, urging the establishment of a foundation to address their long-term needs.
