Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, the director general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced that starting from February 2025, corps members will receive a revised monthly allowance of N77,000, up from the previous N33,000.
Speaking to the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina on Thursday, 30th January, 2025, Ahmed explained that the increase is part of the 2025 Federal Government budget.

Although January has already concluded, he assured that the new allowance will take effect once the budget is passed.
He also encouraged corps members to show dedication and commitment throughout their service in gratitude for the Federal Government’s support, assuring them that they will no longer be posted to communities with security risks.
