NPower in Canada, is now accepting applications for its fully-funded data and operations analyst programmes with employment assistance, to support jobseekers.
It is targeted at participants with Canadian permanent residency (PR) including Nigerians who have obtained their PR, or have become citizens, but are facing barriers to employment.

Participants must reside across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Québec, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia and is designed just to secure jobs but to foster a lifetime of career development.
Participants will be provided with industry-recognised certifications and candidates can determine their eligibility through the organisation’s recommendation tool.
The technical training will provide participants with certifications and professional development support equipping them for careers in the digital sector.
Upon successful completion, graduates will receive assistance in securing full-time employment in the tech industry.
Programme options
NPower Canada currently offers three core training streams which are:
Junior IT analyst programme (Beginner level) where participants will obtain the Google IT support professional certificate
Junior data analyst programme where participants will obtain the IBM data analyst professional certificate
Security operations analyst programme (Intermediate level), where participants will obtain the Microsoft security operations analyst certificate

Application process and programme structure
The application process involves several key steps:
Online applications: Here candidates must complete a preliminary screening followed by a full application, after which the admissions team will provide direct communication.
Technical assessment (For advanced programmes)
Applicants interested in the Junior Data Analyst (JDA) and Security Operations Analyst (SOA) programmes must complete a technical assessment to determine suitability.
Virtual interview: Shortlisted applicants will undergo an interview to further assess their eligibility.
Offer of admittance: Successful candidates will now receive an official invitation to join the programme.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for an NPower Canada program, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria.
They must be at least 18 years old and possess either a high school diploma or GED. Basic computer skills, including typing, email usage, and internet navigation, are essential for participation.
Additionally, they must demonstrate intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency, achieving at least a CLB level 7 or higher.
Legal eligibility to work full-time in Canada is also required, meaning applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or hold an open work permit along with a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
The financial requirements includes having an annual individual income below $50,000 and a household income under $105,000. Lastly, applicants should be facing barriers to employment, such as unemployment or underemployment, to ensure the program benefits those in need of support.
