Nigerian leaders developing Dubai, Europe while nation crumbles – Cleric

Chris Christian, the founder and Shepherd of the Locust Army International Church, has knocked Nigerian leaders for investing in foreign countries like Dubai and various parts of Europe while neglecting their own nation.

Speaking during the ongoing Gethsemane 2024 prayers and fasting session, Christian expressed his dismay that Nigeria reportedly has the second-highest number of property owners in Dubai after India, with a significant portion of these properties owned by Nigerian leaders.

Christian lamented that many of these leaders lack basic amenities in their hometowns but instead amass wealth in foreign nations for their descendants.

“A country is dying and they are taking everything from their country to go and develop Dubai, Europe, are they human beings? Some of them do not have light in their village. It is a very shameful thing.

“Those houses they built there at the peril of the nation, when they die, that nation will take it, it will become property of the people of Dubai”, he said.

Christian continued his criticism, stating, “This is what it means to have animals as leaders. Those human beings you see there as Senators have a very disgusting behaviour.”

He also commented on the lack of educational opportunities, noting, “Some of the leaders, the direct children of their cousins  don’t go to schools, and yet they buy properties abroad for their own children. Must they steal for their children? They are not acting like children of God”, Christian said.

Despite his concerns, Christian expressed optimism for Nigeria and Africa, affirming that with the right leadership, they can become top destinations globally.

He urged citizens to persist in praying for good leaders and for the nation’s betterment.
