Nigerian journalist, Ifetayo, honoured in Canada

A Nigerian luxury and lifestyle journalist, Adeniyi Ifetayo Moses, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Excellence in Journalism’ award at The Headlamp Awards, held during the Afro Commerce Connect event in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

The event, organised by Cross Roads of Culture, centered around the theme ‘African Diaspora Startups,’ aiming to help entrepreneurs navigate opportunities and challenges in Canada.

The award ceremony took place at The Conservatory City Hall, where Ifetayo was celebrated for his nearly two-decade-long career in journalism.

In his acceptance speech, Ifetayo expressed his surprise and gratitude, saying: “Thank you to the organisers of this prestigious award for finding me worthy. I did not expect to be recognised here at all. I only came to represent my principal. This recognition means a lot to me, and I promise to continue to put in more work in service to society.”

Ifetayo’s career is marked by his unwavering dedication to journalism, particularly in the luxury and lifestyle sectors. He currently serves as a reporter with Ben TV London and is the publisher of Megastar Magazine. His recognition at The Headlamp Awards is a testament to his impact on the industry and his commitment to excellence.

Iwok Iniobong

With years of experience in Nigerian journalism, Iniobong Iwok has built a reputation for deep political insight, compelling storytelling, and consistent, fact-driven reporting. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience reporting and writing incisive political analysis. Iniobong has interviewed key political figures across Nigeria and covered major national events, including the 2019 and 2023 general elections. A versatile journalist, he also has strong experience in education reporting and sector analysis. His work reflects a deep commitment to good governance and public accountability. Iniobong holds a B.Sc. in Sociology from the University of Ilorin and an M.Sc. in Sociology (Development Specialisation) from Lagos State University.
