The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of its 91 Regular Recruits Intake, opening applications for young Nigerians interested in joining the military.

According to the Army, the online application process will begin on March 30, 2026. The exercise is open to both tradesmen and non-tradesmen, giving room for applicants with and without specialised skills.

Eligible candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth and meet basic requirements, including minimum educational qualifications such as a secondary school certificate. Applicants are also expected to be physically and medically fit.

The Army emphasised that the recruitment process is free, urging applicants to avoid paying money to individuals or groups claiming to offer assistance. Applications are to be completed through the official recruitment portal.

As with previous intakes, shortlisted candidates will be invited for screening in their respective states of origin before proceeding to the next stage of the exercise.

The 91 Regular Recruits Intake is part of the Army’s routine recruitment process and is expected to attract a high number of applicants across the country.
