Nigerian AI governance strategist launches trust engineering framework

Celestine Achi, an AI governance strategist based in Nigeria, has launched the Engineering of Trust™ framework to address accountability as AI spreads across public relations, corporate affairs and government communication systems.

He said the profession faces a governance gap and that the framework offers a governance architecture that can be measured, audited and defended. “AI adoption has accelerated across institutions,” Achi stated. “But governance mechanisms specific to AI in communications have not matured at the same pace. That gap creates reputational and regulatory exposure.”

The initiative includes a guide titled AI-Powered PR Playbook: Engineering Trust in the Age of AI and an assessment tool that helps institutions evaluate readiness, governance vulnerabilities and exposure within structures.
The framework sets guardrails for AI messaging, requires verification checkpoints before release, defines a Trust Failure Taxonomy to track system breakdowns, and applies a Trust Scorecard with a roadmap over seven days for integration of governance. “The next evolution of public relations will not be automation. It will be accountable automation,” he said.

Achi has proposed dialogue with professional bodies and institutional stakeholders to explore the development of governance standards within the communications sector. The playbook is available for free download, and the assessment tool on his official website AI-Powered PR.
