Nigeria is set to participate in the 60th edition of Paris International Agricultural Exhibition, a move said to be part of ongoing effort to boost the existing bilateral relationship between France, and Nigeria.
Nigeria’s preparedness to feature in the exhibition described as Europe’s largest agricultural show, is coming on the heels of a three-day state visit of which President Bola Tinubu paying Paris.
President Tinubu’s visit to France, according to an official statement, is geared at strengthening political, economic, and cultural ties between Nigeria and France, with an emphasis on building partnerships in key sectors.
A statement obtained by BusinessDay from the Embassy of France in Abuja, indicated that Nigeria’ would be participating in the Paris show, slated to hold between February 24th to March 3rd, 2024.

“This landmark event, recognized as Europe’s largest of its kind, serves as a beacon for the Agro-allied industry, France’s foremost industrial sector. This endeavour seeks to propel Nigerian agricultural excellence onto the global stage, amplifying the nation’s abundant agricultural heritage and untapped potential.
“Marking a significant debut, Nigeria will grace the Paris International Agricultural Show with the inaugural Pride of Nigeria Pavilion. This Pavilion will serve as a vibrant showcase, spotlighting an extensive array of Nigerian agricultural products, including Cocoa, Palm oil, Cassava, Yam, Sorghum, Cashew nuts, Maize, Millet, and Honey.
“The Paris International Agricultural Show provides a unique platform for Nigeria to foster meaningful engagements with international stakeholders, delve into promising trade prospects, and spotlight groundbreaking innovations within the agricultural domain. It also serves as a testament to the growing partnership between France and Nigeria in the agricultural industry”, the statement stated.
