The Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Akure branch, in Ondo State, Banjo Ayenakin, has called for synergy between the lawyers and police for peaceful and secured society.
Ayenakin made the call at the weekend when he led other delegation of the association to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 17, Williams Adebowale in Akure, the state capital.
The NBA chairman, who noted that Adebowale was the first AIG in the Zone’s history to grant their association an audience and seek for their cooperation, however, urged the police not to look at lawyers as their enemies but rather friends that would complement their efforts aimed at reducing crime in the society.
