Ali Bukar Dalori, newly appointed Board Chairman of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), has reaffirmed the Bola Tinubu administration’s commitment to enhancing healthcare in the South East region and across Nigeria.

During his inaugural visit to NAUTH at the weekend, Dalori underscored the government’s focus on improving healthcare outcomes through various initiatives in Anambra State and beyond.

These efforts reflect a broader strategy to bolster public health infrastructure and address regional disparities in medical services.

Dalori commended Muhammad Ali-Pate, minister of Health and Social Welfare, for his significant contributions to establishing a cutting-edge radio diagnostic centre at NAUTH.

This facility is expected to bolster the region’s healthcare capabilities in combating various diseases—a milestone unprecedented in the South-East under any previous health minister.

He noted that the project underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing regional healthcare infrastructure and reducing reliance on foreign medical services.

In a meeting with staff members, Dalori provided assurances of enhanced welfare benefits and improved working conditions aimed at boosting employee morale and motivation.

Joseph Ugboaja, Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, also praised PresidentTinubu for his commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of the Igbo community, and for substantially backing the hospital’s mega projects.

This support, he said is a reflection of the president’s deep affection for Anambra State and the broader Igbo community, and his commitment to their socio-economic development and healthcare needs.

Ugboaja equally recognized Ali-Pate’s efforts as pivotal in transforming Nigeria’s medical landscape through Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to elevate the country’s healthcare standards.
