Nasarawa governor signs 2021 appropriation bill of N115.72bn into law

While assenting the 2021 appropriation bill in Lafia, Governor Sule appreciated the speaker and members of the State House of Assembly for the synergy towards ensuring the state is better for it.

He said with the increase in the size of the budget, it will help the state realise its common goal and meeting the focus on ensuring growth in the education, health, agriculture and infrastructure.

The governor said the state government would be focused on achieving results despite the effects of COVID-19.

Sule appreciated his deputy, Emmanuel Akabe, for holding forth while he was away, while thanking traditional rulers and the people of the state for their support to his administration.

He explained that his visit to the United State also recorded a plus for Nasarawa State in the area of equipping the infectious disease centre which would also culminate into training of some health personnel.

The Speaker of the State Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, appreciated the governor for the timely signing of the budget into law.

He lauded the heads of government Ministries, Departments and Parastatals(MDAs) for helping the legislature carry out its task successfully.

The speaker assured the governor of the House determination to synergize with the executive arm in order to bring speedy development to the state.

It would be recalled that on November 17, 2020, Gov. Sule presented the 2021 budget proposal of N112. 92 billion to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
