The Abuja-Nyanya road appeared deserted Monday morning as there were few vehicles on the road.
There were many passengers waiting at the major bus-stops waiting for vehicles to their destinations.
Our correspondent while monitoring events around 9 am observed some youths numbering about 20, carrying banners and moving towards Nyanya motor park in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Some policemen standing by the roadside were seen discussing among themselves and paying close attention in the direction of the youth.
The journey through the AYA bridge and roundabout was smooth against earlier warnings that protesters would shut the major road linking FCT and Nasarawa State.
