The Cross-River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA) has sought a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Finance to enhance entrepreneurship development in the state.
This was disclosed during a courtesy visit by the MEDA management team, led by the Director-General, Great Ogban, to the Commissioner for Finance, Michael Odere.
Ogban emphasised the significance of the visit, recognising the Ministry of Finance as a crucial pillar of the state’s administration.
Commissioner Odere expressed his support for MEDA’s initiatives, highlighting their importance in addressing pressing economic challenges. He commended the Agency’s efforts, particularly emphasising the value of the Retiree Enterprise Development Initiative (REDI) in providing a renewed sense of purpose and economic opportunity for retirees.
The visit was also attended by Terence Elemi, the REDI coordinator, and other members of the MEDA management team. Nsa Gill, chief press secretary to the state government, was also present at the event.
