…presents staff of office to three monarchs in Oyo
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has set up a Committee for the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
BusinessDay reports that the Coronation Committee is headed by Ademola Ojo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, while Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information, Wasiu Olatunbosun, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Toyin Balogun, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion are members.
Other Coronation Committee, accoring to a press statement issued on Monday in Ibadan by the Commissioner for Information, also included the son of the incoming Olubadan, Folaseke Owolabi Olakulehin, Onikepo Akande, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, Hazeem Gbolarumi, Toye Arulogun, Ademola Moradeyo, A Bishop, retired Commissioner of Police Sunday Odukoya, Abduljeleel Adanla and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ramota Agberemi-Dabo.

Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde approved the nomination by the Olubadan-In-Council of Oba Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan land and subsequently fixed July 12 for the coronation and presentation of the Staff of Office.
In a related development, Governor Makinde has also approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to three traditional rulers in the State.
Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information, in a release, said Oba Sakiru Oyewole Akanni Oyelere, the Onifiditi of Fiditi would be presented with the Staff of Office and coronated on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024.
On Friday 5th July, 2024, Oba Cornelius Abiola Taiwo Oladokun would be coronated and presented with the staff of office as His Royal Majesty, the Alaawe of Awe
While the coronation of His Royal Majesty, Elempe of Tapa, Oba Titiloye Oyekanmi Sunday would take place on Monday July 8, 2024 and would be presented the Staff of Office
Recall that the Governor Seyi Makinde-led Administration has since inception five years ago, installed and coronated more than thirty Obas and Baales across the State.
