The appointment is for a single tenure of five years in effect from Friday, February 28, 2025.

She added that at the end of the exercise, Chukwu emerged as the highest scorer with 83.41 percent among the five interviewed candidates.
“In line with the principle of merit being upheld by the federal government, Tunji Alausa, the minister of education has approved the appointment of Lucian Chukwu as the substantive vice-chancellor of Admiralty University, Ibuzor,” the statement read.
Besides, Boriowo said the minister wished the new vice-chancellor a successful tenure of office.
Before his appointment, Chukwu was the deputy vice-chancellor in charge of management services at the University of Lagos.
Admiralty University was recently entangled in a crisis following the appointment of a new vice-chancellor.
