Late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and 6 other senior officers who lost their lives in an air mishap that occurred in Kaduna will be buried today, Saturday, 22 May 2021.
The Nigerian Army in a statement signed by its spokesperson Mohammed Yerima informed that the internment for the late military officers will take place at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja today by 1.pm.
The Army also informed that the burial proceedings will commence at the National Mosque and National Christian Centre, Abuja by 10 am respectively.
The COAS and 10 other senior officers were killed in an air crash en route Kaduna from Abuja on Friday, 21 May 2021.
Ibrahim Attahiru was appointed chief of army staff on January 26, succeeding Tukur Buratai. He was 54.
