From today, petrol is selling at the highest in Maiduguri at N577 per litre and lowest in Lagos state at N488 per litre, according to a reliable document seen by BusinessDay but yet to be officially confirmed by NNPC.
Here are petrol prices in other key cities. In Abeokuta, Ibadan, Osogbo, Akure and Ado-Ekiti are selling for N500 per litre. Then in the following four cities of Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Benin and Asaba N511 per litre.
In Ilorin, Uyo, and Umahia and Owerri are selling at N511 per litre. It is N537 per litre in Abuja, Jos, Lafia, Minna and Makurdi. In Kano, Kaduna, Dutse and Gusau it is selling for N540 per litre. And N545 per litre in Birnin Kebbi.
It is highest in Maiduguri and Damaturu at N557 per litre.

The price adjustment came after Tinubu had announced in his inauguration speech on Monday that the subsidy was gone and that the CBN had been mandated to abrogate the multiple exchange rates regime.
