Kogi guber poll: Ohimege Igu Kotonkarfe pledges support for Ododo

Ododo reassures CUSTECH students of improved security

Abdulrazak Isa Koto, Ohimege Igu Kotonkarfe and chairman, Lokoja/Koto Traditional Council, has said the ancestors of the ancient town were supportive of the governorship aspiration of Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Kogi State APC governorship candidate, ahead of the November 11, 2023 election.

The royal father made this known when Usman Ododo paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Kotonkarfe, saying Kotonkarfe will play a big role in ensuring a smooth victory for Ododo.

“You have my prayers, you have my blessings and you have the support of the people. Today, I give you an ancestral blessing to come out victorious,” the royal father said.

Earlier, the candidate of the party had extolled the royal father for fostering unity in the entire Kogi Local Government Area, commending him for ensuring peace and security in the entire Kingdom.

“For me, it is a homecoming and a visit to my father that has always been a blessing to me. I thank you for supporting my boss, Yahaya Bello, to succeed. I have no doubt that you will always play a fatherly role to make us succeed.

“Our administration will consolidate the gains we have recorded in security, education, healthcare, infrastructural development as well as human capital development. We owe the people good governance as we cannot let down the flag of progress hoisted by Yahaya Bello,” Ododo said.

In his remarks, Saliu Akawu Saidu, a leader of the APC in the local government area, expressed confidence in the capacity of the candidate and the party to record victory.

“The candidate came to see me and we have agreed to work together and by the grace of Allah, he shall be successful,” he said.
