The Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, in collaboration with the organizers of the annual 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, has announced the 2025 edition of the 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit.
The event is scheduled to be held from July 4 to 6, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda. Alongside the summit, nominations have opened for the 2025 edition of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa awards.
The awards celebrate individuals and organizations contributing significantly to peace, development, and societal growth across the continent.
Themed “Leadership Frameworks for Governance, Business Growth, Investment Opportunities, and Sustainable Development in Africa”, the summit will gather top business leaders, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping Africa’s development landscape.
According to Kingsley Amafibe, Project Director, the summit has become a key platform for promoting economic growth, nurturing young African leaders, and recognizing outstanding contributions to the continent’s development.
“The ceremony has, over the years, served as a platform to drive economic growth, build young leaders in Africa, and honor individuals and organizations who are adding significant value to humanity and society,” Amafibe said in a statement on Friday.
It also noted that the 2025 event will feature three major award categories including 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, 100 Most Notable Women Africa 2025 and 100 Most Notable Young Entrepreneurs 2025.
“Awardees are drawn from diverse fields, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agriculture, Education, Infrastructure, Environment, and Governance. Amafibe noted that the event has also facilitated networking and partnerships across sectors, driving collaboration for Africa’s development.
“Top dignitaries from across the continent are expected at the summit, including government officials, industry leaders, business executives, and past award recipients”, the statement reads.
It also noted that invitations have been extended to the governors of Abia, Gombe, Rivers, Enugu, and Delta states in Nigeria, as well as the Vice President of Kenya and Presidents of Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, and Ghana.
“This year’s edition will be bigger and more colorful than previous ones. We have put in place all necessary steps to make it a memorable experience,” it assured.
According to the statement, the 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit has, over the years, gained recognition as a key event for fostering dialogue, partnerships, and actionable insights for Africa’s growth.
“The 2025 edition promises to build on this legacy while spotlighting the remarkable individuals and businesses driving the continent’s progress”, it stated.
